We are a family operated book store located in the historic West Main neighborhood of Buena Vista, Colorado, on the banks of the Arkansas River in the Colorado Rockies.

Owners Owen and Kathy Lentz had former lives as an Air Force Officer and Accountant, respectively. Retirement is very rewarding as we meet folks from everywhere without having to travel!

After opening the Book Nook in late 2008 with books garnered from three family libraries, we quickly discovered that many people still appreciate shopping surrounded by books other people have cherished and passed on.
